Restaurant Review- Hana Sushi

Hana Sushi is our go to sushi place in Temecula. Mostly because it is right around the corner from our house but also because it is pretty delicious. The service and food has been consistent since our first visit. I can't believe I haven't shared a review before.

Hana Sushi is clean and the décor is pretty and inviting. The water feature upon entering is really nice! Since we frequent this place so much my goal is to try every roll on the menu, I know i'm a foodie dork. This last visit Penelope ordered her usual Ikura and California Roll.

While I ordered three rolls for my mom and I to share.

The Spanish Roll is Salmon, Crab, Cucumber, Cilantro, Green Onion, Avocado, Jalapenos. It is delicious and fresh tasting. My mom enjoys spicy sushi rolls but the jalapenos were very mild on this roll.

The Popcorn Lobster Roll is Chris' go to roll, he orders it every time. It's pretty tasty despite the fact that it does not contain any bit of lobster. Instead it is basically a California Roll topped with tempura battered and fried crawfish. The stuff is piled on top of the roll and you have to dig your way to it. Chris always ends up having to share this roll with Penelope and I, it's kinda addictive.

The Volcano Roll was new to me. It arrived in flames! I thought this was a nice touch and made the roll extra fun. This is a cooked roll that does not contain rice. Great if you are low carbing it. In fact Hana Sushi has a few rolls that are rice free and tasty. The Volcano Roll is White Fish wrapped around Scallop, Crab, Avocado, Cream Cheese topped with Masago and then baked. This was really good and I will be ordering it again.

Hana Sushi also has your traditional sushi and sashimi as well as several Japanese entrees and appetizers. Be sure to check out their specials board, they often have Toro! For around $50 you can get this delicious and generous helping of fresh Toro. It is so worth it!
