Salt & Pepper Chicken Drumsticks

If you are from Southern California than you are probably familiar with Royal Mandarin's Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings. Royal Mandarin is a Chinese restaurant in National City and it is the place to go when you are hosting a party. No Southern California get together is complete without their Salt & Pepper Wings, that you can  purchase in large aluminum trays. They are so tasty! I decided to attempt some Salt & Pepper Chicken of my own using some drumsticks I had in the freezer. How did they turn out? SOOO GOOD! Watch out Royal Mandarin!

Salt & Pepper Chicken Drumsticks

Chicken drummies
Salt & Pepper
5 Spice powder
Corn starch
Olive oil
Garlic
Green onions
Crushed red pepper

Preheat oven to 250. Line a baking sheet with foil and place and place an oiled wire rack inside. In a bowl add the drumsticks and sprinkle with salt and corn starch. Bake for 30 minutes on lower oven rack. Raise temperature to 425 and place pan on middle oven rack for another 50 minutes. Remove chicken and let cool for about 10 minutes. In a large wok add some olive oil, minced garlic, crushed red pepper and the chicken and toss. Finish up with some S&P, 5 Spice and some chopped green onions. Enjoy over steamed rice.

I didn't measure any of the ingredients here I just added stuff and tasted it till I started drooling. Make sure you scrape up all the yumminess at the bottom of the pan and pour over your rice!
