Refreshing Detox Water


It is starting to warm up here and you know what that means, I need to make sure I am well hydrated. Typically I just drink plain water and iced tea but I thought I would make some detox water instead, for some added benefits. Detox water is supposed to help remove toxins from your body all while keeping you hydrated. Some people drink it to boost weight loss as it is supposed to get your metabolism going and also keeps your tummy feeling full without the calories. Also, depending on what you put in your detox water those veggies, fruit or herbs can add vitamins and benefit your health in other ways. For my detox water I added some sliced cucumber, lemon, lime, grapefruit and mint leaves. This is a popular recipe I found here. The citrus adds a healthy dose of Vitamin C. It's also very refreshing. I drink my detox water throughout the day and am loving it, especially the last couple of days when the temperature reached into the 90's.
