Garden-Inspired Cocktail Recipes

Here are some amazing cocktails from Italian winery Santa Margherita to enjoy as you take in all the spring blooms. All feature their signature Prosecco with hints of pineapples and Rennet apples.


Peachy Keen Cocktail

Ingredients:
  • 1  bottle prosecco, preferably Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore DOCG
  • 3  fresh peaches, pitted and halved
  • 1/2  Ounce  fresh ginger, chopped
  • 3  Tablespoons  sugar
  • 2  Tablespoons  fresh lime juice
  • 3  Cups  crushed ice
Directions:
  1. Place peaches, sugar, lime juice, ginger, and prosecco in blender.
  2. Blend at medium speed until smooth.
  3. Add ice to the blender and process.

Sparkling Raspberry Lemonade

Ingredients:
  • Bottle Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore DOCG
  • 1/8 Cup Sugar
  • 1/8 Cup Lemon Sugar
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Lemon Rind, Grated
  • 1 Cup Muddled Raspberries
Directions:
Combine sugar and juice in a small saucepan, bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat. Stir in lemon rind and ½ cup of mashed raspberries. Combine mixture and Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore in pitcher. Sprinkle remaining lemon rind raspberries among the glasses


Cucumber Lime & Basil Prosecco Spritzer

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 4 basil leaves
  • 4 cucumber slices
  • Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore DOCG
 
DIRECTIONS
  1. Muddle lime juice, basil and cucumber in a shaker glass. (For extra flavour infusion allow mixture to marinate in the fridge for at least one hour.)
  2. Add ice and shake mixture.
  3. Strain the juice only (about ½ oz.) into a Prosecco glass.
  4. Top with Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore DOCG and garnish with a basil leaf and cucumber slice.
